Welcome to River Bend RV Park. Our Park is a 400 acre recreational-vehicle camping resort with seasonal activities for members, their family and their guests. We are unique in that our members own their own lots! We are located on a striking peninsula on the Potomac River, near the Falling Waters, WV district. We are only a short drive from the Washington and Baltimore metro areas as well as other major cities in Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia. The park is open with utilities from the beginning of April through the end of October, but our members have access to their property throught the entire year.

Our members enjoy amazing views, swimming pools, a miniature golf course, a kids & youth Center, tennis and basketball courts, laundry facilities, a convience store, a deli and lounge, and the option to enjoy our Horseshoe and Boat Clubs.

Park Member Passing

We are sad to announce the passing of long time park member and former board member George St. Clair. Georges wife Laurie will receive guests on Sunday May 6th from 6-8pm at Lininger-Freif Funeral Home, 47 North Park Avenue, Mercersburg, PA. George will be laid to rest on Monday May 7th 2012 at Macedonia United Bretheren, 11887 Worleytown Road, Greencastle, PA at 1:00pm. You may also sign the guest registry at publicopinion@legacy.com

Please watch your mail for the Ballot to cast your vote. Please follow the directions in your Ballot packet, No Ballots are to be sent to the office. You can meet the candidates and hear what they stand for on May 19th 2012 in the Lower Level Ranger Station @ 1:00pm. Make plans to attend.

PASS POLICY COMMITTEE

It is imperative that the corporation has an acceptable pass policy agreed to and voted on by the members. Therefore, the Board having heard the concerns of the membership in regards to the 2012 Pass Policy agrees the membership should be afforded the right to develop this policy for the corporation. We have suspended the current pass policy and will operate under the provisions of the 2011 Pass Policy.

A new Pass Policy Committee will be formed and the members of that committee will select their own chair and secretary to oversee the committee. A director other than myself and Erma Rubright will be appointed to oversee and assist the committee. Further announcements will be made this Saturday, April 28th during the RBMC Open Board meeting in regards to committee sign-up and dates for meetings.

I would ask the committee members and the membership as a whole to be mindful that we need a safe and fair policy for all involved.
Please consider being a part of this very vital and important committee.

Did you know....???

Suggestion from a member - "Maybe you should think about changing the first payment due date to February 1 or sometime around there because of the holidays. It makes it kind of rough on people just right after Christmas..."

Thank you for your suggestion. Others have asked the same question, however, the due dates of January 1 & May 1 are required by our By-Laws. Any changes to the RBMC By-laws require a membership vote during the annual meeting following the specific procedures set out by our governing documents.

BAR, STORE UPDATE-

Due to the operator of the lounge and the community store being without

a commercial general liability insurance policy as required by the lease

agreement and the operator not having a license, as the lessee of the premises,

to dispense alcoholic beverages, as required by the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, Judge Christopher T. Wilkes of the Circuit Court for Berkeley County, West Virginia, as of Wednesday, the 25th of April 2012 at approximately 10:00 a.m., ordered that all such operations immediately cease.
