Attention members!
We are currently experiencing a high volume of usage which is causing overloading throughout the park. The main factor is the supply coming into the park is at max from the power company. They will also at times of high demand reduce the power output during times of high heat and demand in order to keep systems from completely failing. At the advise of Valentine and the power company we are performing rolling blackouts in order to keep the entire system from going down. If we get to that point and the failure is on the power company side we are at their mercy for restoration. Given they have provided temporary solutions to get us through the peaks of high demand.
What you, the members, can do for now is please raise your thermostats a few degrees and cutoff any appliances and lights that are not absolutely needed. We are in contact with Valentine electric to see if there is anything else that can be done in the interim. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If everyone just takes a few minutes to see if there is anyway they can cut back during these exceptionally heavy load times, we may be able to control this without having to perform these rolling outages.
Regards,
RBMC Directors and Staff.
