Facilities and Maintenance
Posted on Sep 10th, 2015

I want to first take this opportunity to extend a BIG “Thank You” to the “Haunted Trail” volunteers for their help and support with the cleanup after the Car show! I can’t tell you how much Jay and I appreciated your help! The Car Show Sunday was a big success by all measures and we have already started gathering some ideas for next year.

Please come out and support the haunted trail on Halloween, there will be fun for the whole family!

We would like to welcome aboard two new Pump Drivers to the maintenance department; Adam DeHaven and Roger Mills. Please be patience with the pump-outs, they are still learning. If you have any questions or concerns, please come up to the office. I assure you all pump-outs will be done as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Ransford Lawrence wanted me to extend a sincere “Thank you”; for the donations that are still being accepted at the River Bend Store. We will continue to pray for his speedy recovery.

Please take advantage of the recycle dumpster that has been relocated to the Maintenance parking lot. We offer the recycling of plastics, cardboard, cans, and newspapers. Recycling helps protect the environment and requires far less energy. Please be advised that the Maintenance yard does not except construction material, and furniture.

On another note please be advised that The Department of forestry periodically makes visits to check that we are only burning bush or organic materials in the burn pile, it is not for treated lumber, railroad ties etc. The burn pile is for organic materials only, we want to ensure good operation and that it gets done safely.

I want to reinforce how important it is that we all look out for one another and report any suspicious behaviors either to the office or to Security. There have been some reported vandalisms around the bathhouses, and the tampering of locks. Remember we have a suggestion box at the front office for any suggestions or ideas for those who would like to remain anonymous.

Thank you again for your support, and we wish you and your families a safe and happy weekend.

Thank you, Chris Miller
Maintenance Supervisor
